Chief Theologist / Middle Eastern Affairs
C. Michael Levelle
C. Michael Levelle has been known best as Reverend, Pastor and Chaplain. He has also been known as Colonel and probation officer, but the titles that he has enjoyed the best are husband, dad and presently, grandpa.
Chaplain Mike, as he was often known when he retired from military service, first began his military assignments as an enlisted man in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict. In this capacity he served in a special Naval Unit requiring a secret clearance as he would often have special assignments at the White House, the Pentagon, the War College and numerous assignments that would bring him into contact with Government officials and foreign dignitaries.
After his Naval service, Mike furthered his education while at the same time working heavy construction in an underground coal mine in West Virginia. Mike has attended and graduated from several schools, Glenville State College, West Virginia State University and Southeastern University in Florida.
Upon graduation, Mike was employed by the WV Dept. of Veterans Affairs as a counselor. Mike felt the call to Christian Ministry, and it was then that he pursued theological training and upon completion pastored churches in West Virginia, Ohio and Florida for a total of forty years.
Mike has served a number of small and rural churches which required him to be bi-vocational. In this role he found service in law enforcement; first as a Chaplain and then as a probation officer and as court security. The chaplain assignment led to working with the Federal Air Marshals, first with the Cleveland, Ohio field office and then expanded to starting the first Fraternal Order of Police lodge for FAM members; serving as the FAM and FOP Chaplain for over twenty years.
Mike has enjoyed numerous law enforcement and military assignments along with special training opportunities with the Ohio Police Officers Training Academy. Prior to retirement, Mike was invited to assist the Lake County Sheriff's Office in Lake County, Florida to develop a comprehensive Chaplains unit. This unit along with the development of a special Critical Incident unit dealing with line of duty death and officer involved incidents was established. Mike eventually retired from this assignment and currently is the Interim Pastor for a church in WV.
Mike has had the opportunity to be involved in international travel in Central and South America, West and South Africa as well as the Middle East. He feels that his experiences have expanded his understanding of numerous cultures and has been instrumental in energizing him to influence as many others as possible to grow from one dimensional in their world view to three dimensional. Mike would enjoy having as many as possible accompany him to the Holy Land and its many sights and sounds.
